Marketing Analysis of Cantang Grouper in Lembung Village, Galis Sub-District, Pamekasan Regency

The fisheries sector, especially grouper aquaculture, has considerable potential to contribute to the regional economy. However, there are several challenges in marketing its products, such as limited access to information and inefficient distribution channels. In Lembung Village, Galis Sub-District, Pamekasan Regency, grouper fish farmers lack access to market information, and dependence on one marketing institution leads to untapped market potential. Therefore, it is important to know how grouper marketing occurs in this village. This study aims to analyze the marketing flow, marketing margin, farmer's share, and marketing efficiency of grouper in Lembung Village, Galis Sub-District, Pamekasan Regency. The method used was observation and interviews with farmers and marketing institutions. The results showed that there are two main marketing channels, namely direct sales from farmers to collectors and restaurants, and marketing channels through farmers, collectors, retailers, and end consumers. The marketing margin for the main channel is IDR 10,000,-/kg, with a Farmer's Share of 90.91%. Marketing efficiency was also good, with an efficiency level of less than 50%. These results highlight the significant marketing potential of grouper and the need to develop market information to improve accessibility for farmers.
