Sustainability Analysis of Bara Beach Tourism, Bontobahari District, Bulukumba Regency

This study aims to determine the issues and conditions of the Bara Beach tourist attraction from the ecological, economic, socio-cultural and institutional dimensions, and also aims to analyze the sustainability status of Bara Beach tourism development. The results of the study show that the sustainability status of Bara Beach tourism is included in the fairly sustainable category with an average index value of 63.81. The index values for the four dimensions are: highly sustainable ecological dimension (91.54), less sustainable economic dimension (38.53), moderately sustainable socio-cultural dimension (59.13), and moderately sustainable institutional dimension (66.06). The potential of the Bara Beach area as a tourist destination can be maintained by protecting and preserving the existing ecosystem function and maintaining the natural conditions and uniqueness of its environment. The development of Bara Beach tourism is a crucial need for tourists, to improve the welfare and income of local communities through economic activities that support tourism, preserve natural resources (conservation activities), and preserve cultural values as an integral part of a sustainable tourism pattern and system.
