Abstract

The implementation of digital farming technology is a strategic step in modernizing the agricultural sector to increase efficiency and productivity, especially for high-value commodities such as chili. This study aims to analyze farmers' perceptions and the level of digital farming technology utilization in the Mawar Lestari Farmer Group in Tulehu Village, Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency. This location was selected as it is a target area for Bank Indonesia's National Movement for Food Inflation Control (GNPIP) program. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with a census technique applied to all 14 members of the farmer group. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires, interviews, and field observations, and then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that farmers' perception of digital farming technology utilization is in the high category with an average score (mean) of 4.29. This includes aspects of knowledge, attitude, and skills, which are generally very good. The level of digital farming equipment utilization (soil pH sensors, digital fertilization, and automatic watering) is also classified in the high category. Nevertheless, obstacles such as limited technical skills in troubleshooting equipment and dependence on electrical stability were still identified. This study recommends the need for continuous technical training and strengthening supporting infrastructure to ensure the sustainability of technology utilization in the future.
