SMKN 1 Tukak, South Bangka, is a vocational school that has a major in Fishing Vessel Nautical (NKPI). The department requires skills in the field of mapping. Training in making basic maps is important to support observation activities in the NKPI department. Knowledge and mastery of mapping can increase the expertise of vocational school graduates. The purpose of this activity is to improve the knowledge and spatial skills of SMKN 1 Tukak students in making basic maps. The stages of training include: 1) providing understanding and material about the basic map, 2) explanation of the stages of making the basic map, and 3) direct practice of making the administrative basic map of Toboali District. The results of the training showed that students majoring in NKPI successfully completed the administrative basic map of Toboali District, South Bangka. Increasing students' knowledge in the field of mapping, continuous efforts are needed to increase interest in this field. Success in making this administrative baseline map can be a foundation for NKPI students to develop mapping skills at a more complex level, such as fish distribution maps. Basic mapping training activities also generally show results that increase students' abilities, namely the ability to make maps from 5% to 70%.
