Islamic Banking Financing in the Real Sector of Fisheries and Agriculture MSMEs: A Study at Bank Syariah Indonesia Ternate Branch

Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Ternate City Branch Office has carried out the role of financial intermediary in accordance with the mandate of law number 21 of 2008 concerning Islamic banking by providing financing to the real sector of the economy based on contracts that are not contrary to sharia principles which do not harm both parties, namely customers and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) actors who need business capital. The role and function of Financial intermediation by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Ternate City Branch Office is expected to encourage economic activity, because it can cause the flow of funds from unproductive parties to productive parties in managing funds. Furthermore, this will help the regional economy of Ternate City grow to be dynamic. This research is descriptive qualitative, expected to find out the extent of the alignment of Islamic banking in the real sector, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The results of this Journal research are to find out the posture and financing scheme of the Bank Syariah Indonesia Ternate Branch Office in the MSME sector both for fisheries and agriculture business actors. This research shows that the existence of Islamic banking including Bank Syariah Indonesia Kanto (BSI) Ternate is expected to be able to synergize with the government in financing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
